    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team! As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily back-of-house operations, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring food quality and safety standards are met. Key responsibilities involve inventory and supply management, staff scheduling and training, cost control, and coordinating with both the kitchen and front-of-house teams. They also maintain cleanliness, manage the kitchen budget, and resolve operational issues.

    Staff and operations management

    Supervise kitchen staff and provide direction to ensure efficient workflow.

    Hire, train, and evaluate kitchen team members.

    Create staff schedules and manage labor costs.

    Ensure all staff follow company policies and safety procedures.

    Food quality and safety

    Monitor and enforce food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.

    Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.

    Manage food storage and maintain correct temperatures for refrigeration and holding.

    Inventory and cost control

    Manage inventory, order supplies, and monitor deliveries.

    Minimize food waste and track inventory for cost control.

    Monitor kitchen expenses and assist with budget management.

    Kitchen maintenance and coordination

    Ensure kitchen equipment is clean, maintained, and in excellent working condition.

    Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.

    Coordinate with other managers, including the executive or restaurant manager, on menu changes and operational issues.

    High school diploma/GED

    Previous restaurant management experience

    Familiarity with Microsoft Office, restaurant management software, and POS software

    Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure

    Excellent management and leadership skills

    Strong communication and problem-solving skills
