Each of our concepts offers a unique perspective on dining—from refined Southern comfort to elevated contemporary cuisine. We are currently seeking a Kitchen Manager to join our team and lead BOH operations at one of our thriving locations.

    Position Summary:

    The Kitchen Manager plays a key leadership role in ensuring culinary excellence, food safety, and operational efficiency. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about building strong teams and producing exceptional food.

    Key Responsibilities:

    BOH Leadership & Culture:

    Supervise, train, and motivate BOH staff to uphold JTR’s standards of quality, cleanliness, and professionalism.

    Lead pre-shift meetings, enforce systems, and maintain a culture of respect and accountability.

    Work collaboratively with FOH leadership to ensure smooth service.

    Culinary Execution:

    Ensure consistent and accurate preparation and presentation of all menu items.

    Uphold standards of portion control, recipe adherence, and plating.

    Oversee prep lists, line checks, and shift readiness.

    Inventory & Cost Control:

    Manage inventory systems, order ingredients, and maintain par levels.

    Monitor food waste, portioning, and prep to reduce COGS and maintain profitability.

    Complete weekly inventory counts and work closely with the management team to analyze food cost trends.

    Health & Safety Compliance:

    Enforce all health department standards, including proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness.

    Maintain equipment logs and work with vendors and facilities teams to resolve kitchen maintenance issues promptly.

    Ensure compliance with safety training, certifications, and documentation.

    What We’re Looking For:

    Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar leadership role in a full-service kitchen.

    Strong organizational and communication skills.

    Deep understanding of culinary techniques, BOH workflows, and kitchen operations.

    Proficiency in food costing, inventory management, and scheduling.

    Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.

    Food Handler’s certification (ServSafe Manager preferred).
