    We remodel kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms in the Greater Orlando area, and we are looking for a part-time laborer who will be a helper to the installer to join our team. We pride ourselves on being a drug-free, family-orientated working environment, and we look forward to working with someone who is dependable, reliable, and professional. We are looking for someone who has a great attitude, has a valid driver’s license, and has his own transportation. Since the part-time laborer/installer assistant will be in our clients’s homes, we will run a background check and may periodically request a drug test. This position offers somewhat flexible hours, depending on the individual jobs.

    SUMMARY OF ROLE

    The laborer/installer helper supports company operations by performing all tasks at the customer’s home/worksite as determined in the scope of work and under the direction of the installers, carpenters, and/or supervisor. These duties and necessary functions, whether construction or demolition, are to be performed safely, professionally, and in a timely manner to meet our customer's expectations and provide excellent customer service.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Including but not limited to:

    Work independently or as a team to provide services as laid out in the scope of work by installers and carpenters. Follow instructions given by the supervising lead installer and/or supervisor.

    Roll out and put away tools, cords, and materials daily on each work site.

    Clean up all areas affected by the installation and perform maintenance on all company tools and equipment used daily on work sites. Ensure all debris is loaded into a dump truck or waste collection unit.

    Keep the work area neat and orderly and clean up daily.

    Secure and lock up tools, equipment, and site at the end of the workday.

    Complete and assist installers, lead installers, carpenters, and/or supervisors in basic tasks such as demo and carpentry, among others.

    Secure and organize all equipment and tools properly according to foreman instructions, and keep all storage areas and the shop clean and orderly.

    Anticipate task problems and inform installers, lead installers, carpenters, and/or supervisors of any issues with completing the task.

    Communicate with the supervising lead installer regularly/daily about progress on the job.

    Follow work safety procedures.

    Sustain a work environment that builds positive professional relationships and demonstrates excellent customer service by maintaining a positive attitude and consistently demonstrating a commitment to complete the scope of work.

    Have outstanding work ethics.

    Provide a five-star customer experience.

    Arrive at the job site on time and wear appropriate work clothing.

    Work quickly and efficiently.

    Prepare and correctly complete any work documents, including timesheets.

    Ability to work both independently and as a team player.

    Must be detail-oriented and able to plan, prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    High School degree or equivalent and/or one+ experience

    Ability to successfully pass a background check, including a clean driving record and other pre-employment screening.

    Frequently move the whole body to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, carrying, pushing, pulling, and handling of materials.

    Stoop, kneel, and crouch in awkward positions.

    Able to lift & carry items up to 75 lbs.

    Able to install any cabinetry hardware such as, but not limited to:

    Drilling for hinges

    Installing doors and drawer fronts

    Installing roll-out trays in cabinets

    Installing crown molding

    Prior experience in cutting moldings.

    Additional Skills preferred but not required.

    OTHER INFORMATION:

    Must have a valid driver’s license.

    Must be willing to participate in a background check.

    Must be willing to take random drug test when requested.
