    About the Role: We are looking for an uber organized, dependable and efficient Kitchen Specialist to support the needs of our busy recreational cooking school. You’ll be the behind-the-scenes (and sometimes front-of-house!) hero who keeps our kitchen organized, stocked, clean, and ready for classes and private events. You’ll also support our Instructors during events to ensure everything runs smoothly.

    This is a part-time position, 25–30 hours per week:

    15 daytime hours (set schedule) for prepping, shopping, receiving orders, and maintaining the kitchen

    10–15 flexible hours (nights/weekends) assisting during classes and events

    What You'll Do:

    Prep for classes and events (thaw/cut proteins, make cupcakes/frosting, prep menu add-ons)

    Create grocery lists and run light shopping errands

    Submit, receive and manage food service and bulk orders

    Maintain a spotless, organized, event-ready kitchen

    Assist cooking classes and private events by supporting the Instructor

    Help train and mentor new part-time Assistants (opportunity for growth!)

    What We’re Looking For:

    A quick learner with strong attention to detail

    Able to prioritize and manage time effectively

    Comfortable with basic food prep and baking techniques

    Savvy and efficient grocery shopper

    Tech-friendly (basic Google Sheets knowledge)

    Friendly, upbeat, and willing to roll up your sleeves

    Access to a reliable vehicle for grocery errands

    Able to pass a background check

    Food Handler Certified (or willing to complete)

    Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds

    Evenings and weekend availability required.
