J ob Summary: Assist in food services by receiving donations, assisting with product storage and inventory control, running the dishwasher, general kitchen cleaning in a commercial setting to guests, volunteers and staff. This position is Monday – Friday, 10:30am to 7:00pm

Essential Functions:
Role Specific Responsibilities:
Assist donors at food dock in a pleasant and courteous manner.
Use pallet jack or forklift as needed to move product for proper storage.
Keep the dock area clean and organized, including refrigerators, freezer, restroom and shelves.
Assist the cooks with food prep and meal service in accordance with menu specifications and established food safety practices as directed by supervisor
Assists and directs volunteers per kitchen procedure
Operate and clean various kitchen equipment
Ensure that proper sanitation and food safety procedures are followed during clean up
Will assist guests during Task as needed with cleaning all dishes, bowls, pans, glasses and cutlery used in a restaurant setting
Scrape and sort dishes before loading them into a dishwashing machine for cleaning.
Unload dishwasher and put all clean items away.
Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours.
Maintaining kitchen supply inventory and informing supervisor when inventory is low.
Maintain good order and discipline while on shift and report any violations in accordance with Mission and department policy.
Work in harmony with all staff modeling Christ-like character and conduct.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/ Skills: Food services experience in a restaurant or institutional setting, excels in a fast-paced work environment,. High school diploma or GED preferred. Servsafe certification preferred. This position will work some weekends and holidays.
