    N8 Fire & Safety is seeking a skilled Kitchen Hood System Technician to join our dedicated team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of kitchen fire suppression systems, ensuring they meet safety standards and operate efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing top-tier service to our customers. $50,000 - $120,000 - Based on 20% Commision on Ticket Sales Responsibilities: • Execute maintenance and installation of home appliances • Identify and fix a variety of home appliance problems • Advise clients on how to properly maintain their home appliance • Estimate costs of appliance installation, repairs, and services to customers • Install and service kitchen fire suppression systems, including Ansul, PyroChem, and similar brands • Perform regular maintenance and inspections to ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes • Troubleshoot and repair system components, including tanks, nozzles, piping, and control systems • Conduct pre- and post-installation tests, including resetting tension cables and verifying proper system operation • Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system functionality, inspection results, and any necessary repairs to clients • Collaborate with electricians, alarm technicians, and other contractors to ensure seamless system integration • Complete detailed service reports and documentation for all work performed • Maintain a clean and organized work environment on job sites and in the company vehicle • Stay up to date with certifications and industry best practices through ongoing training Qualifications: • Candidate must have EPA 608 refrigerant recovery certificate to work on refrigerators and AC units • National Appliance Service Technician Certification (NASTeC) or associate’s degree from a technical or vocational appliance repair job training program and 1+ years experience in the field required • Candidate must have excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer-service skills • Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record • Applicant must have high school diploma or equivalent • Experience: Previous experience with kitchen fire suppression systems is highly preferred • Certifications/License: FEL-K, or FEL-A, Ansul, PyroChem, and/or CaptiveAire certifications are a plus • Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read technical drawings and schematics • Knowledge: Familiarity with NFPA standards, local fire codes, and safety requirements • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various environments, including rooftops, commercial kitchens, and confined spaces • Other: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Compensation: $50,000 - $120,000 commission
