Launched as an e-commerce business in 2011, KiwiCo is launching its first ever retail pop-up shop in downtown Mountain View, CA during this holiday season through spring 2023. Our pop-up shop is located in Mountain View, within walking distance to the Caltrain station. What is the Role? KiwiCo is looking for a reliable, Seasonal Part-Time Sales Associate to join us for a 6 month pop-up shop retail experience. This candidate will be responsible for supporting KiwiCo's mission of inspiring the next generation of innovators and problem solvers through seriously fun hands-on projects in a physical retail space! Responsibilities: - Responsible for a variety of duties including customer service and making the shopping experience whoa-awesome and memorable for our customers, big and small! - Connect with customers in a warm, friendly manner by asking open-ended questions to assess their needs and make appropriate suggestions - Serve as a brand ambassador by bringing your passion for people & learning together to serve our customers - Apply the appropriate knowledge and expertise through ongoing learning and development - Assisting customers at the register and letting them know about current promotions and upcoming programs - Facilitating and supporting KiwiCo's programs and events - Maintain merchandising and ensure the store is clean and well stocked - Make the guest aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events - Stock supplies during store open hours while being available for the guest. - Job may require lifting boxes that weigh up to 40 lbs. and climbing a ladder - Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance. - Ability to receive feedback and take action when appropriate - Upholds all company policies as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures, Employee Policy Manual and Code of Business Conduct - May be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store in order to support the needs of the business. Basic Qualifications: - Ability to blend problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns - Working and thriving in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment - Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights and weekends - A can-do attitude and commitment to contributing to a collaborative, open minded, adaptable, honest, and respectful culture. - Punctual, neat and accurate in work habits; precise and detail-oriented - Effective and engaging written and verbal communication skills with both external customers and internal partners - Adaptable: exhibits a willingness to learn and adapt; is flexible to change and open to try new ways of doing things - Entrepreneurial: comfortable with ambiguity, enjoys building and improving new processes, and thrives in a fast-paced environment - Must be able to submit verification of legal right to work in the United States - Ability to adhere to KiwiCo's COVID-19 health and safety protocols - Weekend, evening, holiday hours and occasional extended shifts required during holiday peak periods.
