If you are a skilled Litigation Attorney with experience with jury trials, conducting depositions, engaging in complex motion practice and negotiating settlements, this position could be your perfect match. The compensation package ranges from $120,000 to $140,000, inclusive of incentives, health benefits, and 401(k) contributions. We pay for all bar dues, CLE fees, and relocation bonuses may also be on the table. Responsibilities: • Manage a caseload of at least 40 cases • Direct the support staff assigned to your cases • Analyze legal situations and create strategic plans of action to address clients' needs • Manage litigation strategies and represent clients in West Virginia's circuit court and federal court • Draft legal documents and conduct legal research in support of cases • Conduct depositions, mediations and serve as lead counsel in trials and arbitrations Qualifications: • Candidates should be great communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high • Working knowledge of employment laws and procedures • Able to function with a high level of patience, tact, and diplomacy in handling negative or challenging situations • Must have jury trial experience • You are licensed to practice law in West Virginia • OH licensure is preferred but not required • You are comfortable with technology • You have a strong desire to help clients through tough times and want to help them get into a better position • You have strong negotiation skills, the ability to think on your feet, and feel comfortable in a courtroom • Willing to travel to mediations and depositions throughout the state Compensation: $120,000 - $140,000
