If you are a proficient Litigation Attorney with a background in jury trials, conducting depositions, handling complex motion practice, and negotiating settlements, this role could be the ideal fit for you. The compensation package for this position falls within the range of $120,000 to $140,000, which includes bonuses, health benefits, and 401(k) contributions. We cover all bar dues and CLE fees, and relocation assistance may also be available. Responsibilities: • Handle a caseload of a minimum of 40 cases • Supervise the support staff designated to your cases • Evaluate legal scenarios and develop strategic plans to meet clients' needs • Oversee litigation strategies and represent clients in West Virginia's circuit court and federal court • Prepare legal documents and perform legal research to support cases • Conduct depositions, mediations, and act as lead counsel in trials and arbitrations Qualifications: • Proficient in effectively communicating in high-stress situations, particularly when dealing with emotions • Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws and procedures • Capable of handling negative or challenging situations with patience and tact • Experience as first chair with jury trials is a requirement • Licensed to practice law in West Virginia • Comfortable with utilizing technology in legal practice • Strong desire to assist clients during challenging times and improve their situations • Possess excellent negotiation skills, think quickly on their feet, and feel confident in a courtroom setting • Willingness to travel for mediations and depositions across the state • Ohio licensure is preferred but not mandatory Compensation: $120,000 - $140,000 yearly
