    JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for assuring that Greene, Tweed products meet the standards that we, customers, the industry, and third party entities define for them. Responsibilities include implementation and monitoring of Quality Process systems to analyze product limitations and standards, authoring of work instructions and procedures to comply with various requirements, development of analysis methods for product and process conformity including participation on the NCR SRC, implementation and maintenance of the ISO & SPC programs, and review of customer contracts and special requirements and maintenance of the associated databases.

    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITY:

    • Establish, document, implement and maintain quality documentation for new products or classes of products that will demonstrate the ability to meet Business Group and Customer quality requirements.
    • Plan and coordinate the implementation of Customer requested Process Qualification Programs and specifications to assure compliance with Customer requirements such as FAIR’s, POR’s, & COC’s and serve as a point of contact for customer visits when requested.
    • Lead, when requested, Lean and Six Sigma project activities by participating on teams, collecting and analyzing data, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring quality and process related documentation is updated
    • Assure Customer expectations regarding SPC are met by working with Manufacturing and Corporate quality
    • Serve as a subject matter expert and plant representative on teams in support of activities affecting quality of processes or products.
    • Maintain and monitor SAP RGA database daily for pro-active overview, evaluation, analysis and reporting of product returns as may be required, including response reporting to field sales engineers / personnel and customers. Also help drive and support corrective action investigations and report preparation as needed and requested
    • Track in-process product problems, production performance issues, scrap and other metrics in the production manufacturing areas as required for trend analysis and for the implementation of continual improvement programs.
    • Maintain working knowledge of all relevant manufacturing and inspection processes, procedures, and inspection requirements.
    • Coordinate, with the QA Team Lead, the Internal Audit Program and assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures necessary to assure compliance with the GTC Quality Management System and provide guidance for proper documentation.
    • Evaluate and/or audit our organization and operations for the purpose of identifying the need for improvements, consistency, and optimization of the overall quality system and participate on LSS teams as required.

     

     

    Required Skills

    EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree (or equivalent years experience) A mechanical engineering degree would be advantageous.

    SKILLS:

    • Knowledge of inspection procedures, techniques, specifications & drawings within a manufacturing environment desired.
    • Good communication skills, including the ability to work cross-functionally and externally with customers required.
    • Understanding of LSS tools & manufacturing fundamentals a plus.

     

    Required Experience

    • Able to demonstrate extensive relevant Quality experience, including quality auditing.
    • AS9100 Quality Management System experience preferred.
    • GD&T, CMI and/or ASQ experience a plus.
    • Previous experience with Quality Management Systems preferred, in addition to knowledge and use of standard measuring devices.
