    POSITION PROFILE

     

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to lead a broadly scoped data team during a time of continued transformation.  In this role, you will lead a team that includes data responsibilities in legacy systems and newly deployed Oracle systems. Direct areas of responsibility include Product Data (Items, BOMs, Routings, Etc.), Engineering Change Notices, Data Quality & Reporting, Oracle PIM, Oracle TCA, and Oracle Configurator. The group is responsible to maintain existing data to support day to day operations in legacy systems and our new Oracle system. It also includes the Data workstream as part of Knoll’s multi-year migration to Oracle. This role is responsible to satisfy current business data requests while balancing complexity and data initiatives that could be disruptive during our system transformation. This role sets data priorities and is responsible to continue a build out of data governance processes and controls underway. The role also provides leadership for data transformation initiatives.

     

     

    Required Skills

    • Have managed transformational projects from initiation through closure.
    • Have experience leading large complex teams and defining strategy as well as tracking tactical actions.
    • Have defined project objectives, scope, resources, timing, goals and deliverables.
    • Ability to work on and track multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Ability to translate complex systems and issues into simple, understandable concepts.
    • Ability to understand complex projects and systems and provide pragmatic guidance.
    • Ability to understand complex systems and actively understand system impacts directly and tangentially when evaluating new initiatives.
    • Ability to work collaboratively up, down, and across an organization.
    • Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills.
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving and time-management abilities.

     

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree. Liberal Arts graduates welcome.
    • At least 10 years of experience managing complex technology projects.
    • MBA, Six Sigma, or PMI certification will be a plus.
    • Experience working with Data Governance also a plus.
