    POSITION PROFILE

    Assists Continuous Improvement Manager in creating and fostering a culture of change, constant improvement and a drive for excellence at Knoll.  Help facilitate individuals and teams by implementing change and improvements to processes throughout the organization.  Trains other associates on the continuous improvement tools.  Assures the highest quality and least costly manufacturing processes are put in place when improvements are made.  Assist with the follow-up and closing out of events and improvement projects in a timely manner.

    Required Skills

    • Practical knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts
    • Demonstrated ability to implement lean concepts
    • Proven ability to deliver projects on time within budget and with desired results
    • Lead, train, coach and mentor employees in "lean" concepts, ideas, implementation, and follow-up
    • Facilitate/lead teams in developing improved process improvements through kaizen events
    • Applies engineering techniques to determine the best design to minimize labor, material and overhead cost of projects
    • Ability to participate lean activities utilizing the DMAIC process
    • Ability to participate in kaizen events or improvement projects as assigned by manager

    Required Experience

    • Attending school for Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Powerpoint)
    • Working knowledge of Excel VisualBasic (VBA) or comparable programming experience
