    POSITION OVERVIEW

     

    The Communications Associate supports the Communications knoll.com team in web content management (including digital creation); direct response; media relations; and social media for both Knoll Office and Specialty businesses, including the Shop at knoll.com. The Communications Associate works closely with Marketing associates to address issues pertaining to all communications initiatives.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Developing and publishing original editorial and social (written copy and curated/solicited imagery) content on Knoll’s digital platforms, including knoll.com, for a range of audiences and in a timely manner
    • Managing press and media relationships, including responding to inquiries and requests, soliciting editorial features, and conducting outreach around marketing campaigns
    • Maintaining select Communications partnerships
    • Completing research for special projects
    • Aiding in Media Bank management and asset distribution on an as needed basis to the Knoll community
    • Aiding in content management of permission-based content at knoll.com

    Required Skills

    • Experience managing and producing quality written and visual content on a regular schedule, in publications, online editorial or social media
    • Experience with web content management systems preferred
    • Understanding and interest in design and the design industry
    • Strong, clear and compelling writer under deadline; adaptable to Knoll voice
    • Ability to critique and curate compelling installation imagery for web uses
    • Ability to communicate Knoll concepts to marketing associates, both in writing and verbally
    • Ability to discuss projects and related issues throughout the organization and with consultants
    • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and InDesign
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Word and PowerPoint
    • Lean and understand Oracle Web Center Sites along with basic html
    • Self-starter equally comfortable working individually and within a small team
    • Detail-oriented

    Required Experience

    • B.A. degree in or equivalent experience in a communications/media relations role
