    Health Fitness Professional - Auburn Hills, MI Corporate fitness facility working weekdays as a substitute/as needed

    If you are starting out in the fitness industry, then this is the opportunity for you. HealthFitness is looking for a substitute (hours per week based on demand) __Health Fitness Professional to join our team within our client's corporate fitness center located in Auburn Hills, MI. In this position, you will make a direct impact on the health and well-being of our members by providing exercise floor supervision, interacting with members and program participants, provide exercise prescriptions, and orientations as well as fitness floor coverage and facility oversight.

    Job Duties

    • Greeting, checking-in and assisting customers, provide program information services and membership information.
    • Open/close facility.
    • Supervises facility; interacts with participants and monitors equipment and participant safety.
    • Assist with all member service desk administration and processes, answer phones, and process membership enrollments.
    • Efficiently responds to client and participant requests, comments or concerns and brings issues to timely and appropriate resolution.
    • Other duties as needed/assigned.

    What you’ll bring with you:

    • Associate's/Bachelor's degree in a related fitness field or a group exercise or personal training certification from a HealthFitness approved provider PLUS 2+ years of industry experience.
    • Adult CPR/AED/First Aid certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required within 30 days of hire.
    • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
    • Proficiency in fitness assessment and exercise prescription is a plus.

    Minimum qualifications: 

    • Applicants must possess an MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and have or be eligible to obtain a Massachusetts Medical License.
    • Applicants must be board certified or be an active candidate for board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
    • Fluency in Spanish, and other languages other than English, is highly desirable, but not required
    • 3+ years post-Residency experience strongly preferred
