    The Business and Finance Operations department is responsible for driving all activities related to PATH's accounting functions and ensures compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), PATH policies and procedures, internal controls, and audit support operating in 20+ countries. Cross functional collaboration is frequent with partners in human resources, legal, IT, office of grants and contracts, and program leadership to educate regarding finance and accounting procedures, explore how the finance function can support program and other operations groups, and  build and optimize finance business processes and systems to meet future needs and demands.

     

    PATH is seeking a Global Accounts Payable/Payroll Manager. This position is part of Global Accounting Services and is responsible for management of the Accounts Payable and Payroll functions and related compliance. This position participates in the strategic design and implementation of global processes and best practices. In addition, this position will be hands-on and will require that the candidate obtain proficiency with PATH’s systems and processes in the areas of AP and Payroll. The right candidate is comfortable with projects with no prior precedent, seeks scalable and IT oriented solutions, and will join the team in “rolling up their sleeves” when necessary. This position will require superb organizational skills, attention to detail, and superior customer service skills.

     

     RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Manage PATH’s Accounts Payable and Payroll teams.
    • Lead, coach and develop a team of employees.
    • Identify, evaluate, refine and implement global AP and Payroll strategies in a multi-country and multi-currency environment to improve organization's systems and business processes.
    • Develop and implement global policies, procedures, and controls to provide statutory compliance and operational efficiency.
    • Manage month-end and year-end close activities such as journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
    • Oversee annual tax filings for transactional and payroll taxes (W2, 1099s, 1042-S, W8-BEN, VAT, etc.).
    • Administer 401k plan, payroll calculations and remittances. Lead annual 401k annual audit.
    • Partner with global purchasing to identify areas of opportunities in both processing and expense control.
    • Provide technical assistance and functional leadership to countries in assigned areas of responsibility.
    • Assist in payroll processing as necessary.
    • Participate in year-end audit and tax preparation.

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

    • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience within the procure to pay cycle in a professional office environment; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
    • Prior management experience leading financial teams responsible for transactional processing.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong experience with systems, including Excel and ERP systems.
    • Experience with system integration, data migration and project management.
    • Must be a team player, change agent, and expert in prioritizing tasks and matching with resources.
    • Must be strong in the area of employee development with an emphasis on creating a positive, productive and efficient team environment.
    • Experience with implementing expense management solutions a plus.
    • Proficiency in ADP or other major payroll processing software a plus.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
    • Highly autonomous, highly organized, and self-motivated.
    • Collaborative, able and willing to work well with a combination of personnel of varying levels, knowledge, and skills.
    • Ability to track and execute on multiple initiatives, work under short deadlines, and reprioritize quickly.
    • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

    PATH has instituted a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for all employees, interns, consultants, and temporary staff based in the United States.
