  • Responsibilities
    • Performs adjusting and mechanical maintenance and repair work on all equipment to support production lines.
    • Replaces bearings, seals and gears in electric motors, gear motors and gear boxes.
    • Repairs and/or splices wires, conveyors, elevators and rubber belts.
    • Performs electrical troubleshooting, wiring and repair work.
    • Repairs and maintains various hydraulic equipment, heating and ventilating units and material handling equipment.
    • Performs preventive maintenance work as required.
    • Performs oiling and greasing work on other plant equipment.
    • Performs general maintenance duties including carpentry, plumbing and painting work.
    • Uses standard shop tools including saws, cutting torches, welders and drill presses.
    • Does moderately complex welding on various plant equipment.
    • Must complete the LOTO certification process.

     

    Our internship provides an opportunity to learn what it takes maintain equipment. In this role you will be working on large industrial refrigeration systems, building processes, data analysis, following our plants safety policies and procedures and working with our current process improvement projects. Your experience will be project based, with projects varying depending on current business needs.  As an intern you can expect to gain valuable experience and insight in the maintenance environment. At the end of the Internship you are expected to prepare a final presentation on the results of your assigned project(s) and will present your findings to members of the Corporate management team.
