    The Business Operations Manager is responsible for fundraising operations, administration, and ensuring the team makes data-driven decisions. They report to the Director of Philanthropy, supporting the fundraising function to raise funds from corporations, foundations, and individual donors in alignment with PATH’s five-year philanthropy strategy. The Business Operations Manager will manage a team of two individuals, including a Program Assistant, a Donor Stewardship Coordinator, as well as occasional Philanthropy Team interns. This professional position requires collaboration, both internally and externally, an ability to work in a matrixed organization, while maintaining strong working relationships across all divisions at PATH.

     

    Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Develop Business Operations team strategy and priorities and facilitate successful execution of PATH’s five-year Philanthropy strategy.

    • Design and facilitate implementation of data insights, reports and dashboards for decision making, as well as visibility to PATH’s Executive Team and Board of Directors.

    • Design and facilitate implementation of moves management and KPI dashboards, managing across stakeholders to build, track and accurately report.

    • Manage Philanthropy Ops team members, creating clear goals, supporting their work, clearing roadblocks, assuring broad administrative support to the Philanthropy team in Seattle, and encouraging professional growth.

    • Work collaboratively with the Marketing & Communications team to support PATH’s Mass Market Fundraising program, regularly offering insights and strategy counsel to support decision making and campaign planning.

    • Maintain relationship with finance team via quarterly meetings to ensure accurate and timely gift processing, reporting, and reconciliation.

    • Serve as the Philanthropy Team point of contact with Information Technology/PATH’s CRM Core team. Maintain ownership of the fundraising associated technology stack – including system improvements, global Salesforce processes, and associated technology integration.

    • Support Onboarding and Salesforce training for all Philanthropy team members.

    • Manage Philanthropy Team Operations including supervising Administrative Responsibilities including successful management of state compliance registrations.

     

    The Business Operations Manager is expected to demonstrate initiative and foresight, bringing forward bold, data-based strategic insights on how PATH can drive discontinuous growth and efficiency into fundraising and partnership efforts.

     

    Expected Capabilities, Outcomes and Key Result Areas:

    • Quantitative: Manage a team and strategy towards ever improved business operations and analytics.
    • Qualitative: An understanding of PATH’s fundraising strategies with deep enough insights to offer analytics, research, metrics and team leadership.

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

    • A minimum of 3 years of professional work experience, preferably in the philanthropic sector.

    • Deep knowledge of customer relationship management in Salesforce, including reporting and analytics required.

    • Experience managing people highly desirable.

    • Experience navigating in large matrixed organizations strongly preferred.

    • Driven, motivated and proactive – with a resilient, solutions-focused attitude.

    • Strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to use multiple tools to proactively identify opportunities.

    • Demonstrated commitment to, and enthusiasm for, PATH’s global mission and programs.

    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to navigate challenging or ambiguous situations to achieve goals and meet deadlines.

    • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

     

    REMOTE WORK:

    PATH continues to evolve to support our employees during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, most of PATH’s US based positions are temporarily 100% remote, within commuting distance to our PATH offices. When PATH transitions more broadly to in-person work, we will operate with a hybrid workplace model. Hybrid employees must reside within commuting distance to one of our PATH offices. PATH’s US offices are located in Seattle, WA and Washington, D.C.

     

    COVID-19 VACCINE REQUIREMENT:

    PATH has instituted a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for all employees, interns, consultants, and temporary staff based in the United States.
