  • Responsibilities

    This position is responsible for creating data analysis and tracking tools as it relates to operations including labor, yields, material usage and overhead. Manage and maintain cost standards and BOM’s.

    • Collaborate with the facility Leadership team to determine the true cost of process inefficiencies and establish data analysis tools.
    • Partner with the factory bulk protein suppliers to forecast and understand price point variance.
    • Work with Culinary, R&D & Sales on new product launches. Provide product cost analysis for proposed new products.
    • Provide budget product cost review/analysis support.
    • Produce various weekly/period/quarterly analysis and variance reports for Plant Management review.
    • Demonstrate Lean thinking and participate in facility problem solving.
    • Track the flow of inventory through the SAP system. Work with manufacturing to ensure cycle counts are accurate and reconciliations of staging areas are complete.
    • Daily Finished goods monitoring, cases discrepancy reconciliation and process order confirmations
    • Participate in the monthly close process.
    • Participate in Behavioral based Safety and Quality audits.
    • Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports, and memos utilizing full knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    • Review electronic time cards for accuracy and completeness; resolving any exceptions and missed punches before processing by working with supervisors responsible for time card approvals; generate time card report totals and export file for further payroll processing.
    • Open weekly payroll, import and balance hours, manually enter any adjustments, and add any required deductions such as voluntary withholding agreements, garnishments, levies, child support, or other court ordered withholding's. Complete local payroll processing, notifying Corporate Treasury by required deadline.
    • Respond to employee payroll inquiries with courtesy and timeliness; investigate issues and make corrections as necessary while referring complex cases to supervisor or Human Resources as appropriate.
    • Review invoices for accuracy, prepare check requests or purchase orders manually or through financial system as appropriate; obtain approvals and ensure timely payment.
    • Prepare month end general accruals and account reconciliations and perform a variety of other routine accounting tasks that support forecasting, budgeting, and internal control activities.
    • Provide a variety of routine office and clerical support as required including the preparation of documents, spreadsheets, presentations, or other communication as well as providing back-up support to the Reception Desk as required.
    • Perform all other duties/special projects as assigned.

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, preferred

    • Work is generally performed within a business environment at a plant location, with standard office equipment available
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands or finger, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, or controls; may be required to lift up to 15 pounds. Vision abilities include close vision to a computer.

    Required Experience

    • 1-3 years of manufacturing cost systems experience preferred. • Strong analytical and communication skills required • Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. • Proficient knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP • Proficient knowledge of cost accounting principles • Proficient knowledge of accounting principles • Basic knowledge of financial analysis • Understands operations process flow • Ability to support Continuous Improvement & other cost savings initiatives • Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing, proofing and analyzing materials. • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to be resourceful, demonstrate business acumen, creative thinking skills and be able to act as a decision maker. • Maintain confidentiality of personnel and payroll information
