    Calling All Nail Technicians, Hair Stylists, and Barbers for part-time employment at Good Shepherd Health & Fitness Center

    HealthFitness is looking for Nail Technicians, Hair Stylists, and Barbers to join the team at our community client site located in Barrington, IL. In this position, you will be required to have a license through the Illinois State Board of Cosmetology. You will be responsible for having an understanding of either nail techniques or hair styling techniques. You must keep up to date with the latest hair, nail products, techniques and trends.

    Nail Technician:

    You will work with clients to meet desired fingernail and toenail care such as filing, cleaning, trimming, and polishing. Manicures and pedicures are a relaxing luxury to brighten up someone's day!

    Hairstylists:

    You will cut, color, and style hair. Duties also include washing hair and keeping updated on latest hair styling techniques and trends.

    Barber:

    You will cut, color, and style hair. Duties also include washing hair, trimming and styling facial hair, fitting hairpieces, and keeping updated on latest hair styling techniques and trends.

    What you’ll provide

    • Cosmetology license through the Illinois State required.
    • Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required within 30 days of hire.
    • Previous customer service experience a plus.
    • Flu vaccination required.
    • This client site requires full COVID-19 vaccination as an essential job function.   • Qualifications
    • Teacher Certified by MA Department of Early Education and Care (EEC)
    • Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree in child development, early childhood education, or a related field
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in an early childhood education setting
    • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work cooperatively and communicate well with others
    • Reliable and conscientious
    • Computer skills (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Kaymbu, COR Advantage)
    • Willingness to increase knowledge in the field
    • Certificate of CPR and first aid training (recommended)
    • Organized, ability to multitask
    • Ability to work independently
    • Flexible and able to adapt to various team teaching styles
    • Attentive to the confidentiality of records and other information
