    Knowesis provides professional, technical, and administrative support services to empower federal executives in strategy, analytics, operations, medical, scientific, and social science research to more than 27 federal organizations.     Knowesis is currently seeking an experienced Health Educator Program Developer to support the AFMS Analytics branch of AFMRA and 711th Human Performance Wing. Develops, designs, and implements health education toolkits, training aids, formal training, a blueprint for implementation, and programs based on evidence-based research and nationally recognized practice guidelines. Health interventions span the breadth of AF health education policy requirements, to include but not limited to, community and clinical interventions related to nutrition, dietary supplements, and other self-care products, tobacco, physical activity, sleep, healthy weight, environment, and tele-wellness.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Assists in the development of the evaluation plan and data collection plan for health education programs.

    • Assists in project planning, development, implementation, and monitoring of work plans, timelines, budgets, milestones, and deliverables.

    • Develops, writes, edits, and formats publications, presentations, and reports related to assigned projects. Collaborate with AFMRA staff and utilize feed-back and needs assessments from key stakeholders.

    • Develops teaching/training aids and provides formal training/coaching for IOS/Health Promotion staff and collaborators to incorporate more health into formal training avenues and clinical integration.

    • Assists in managing most up-to-date technology including interactive software and easy-to-use applications, social media, and/or websites to augment program utilization and development.

    • Provides continuous process improvement, taskings will include adjusting of schedules and method of training, developing new materials and resources for the IOS/Health Promotion program.

    • Ensures adherence with the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing’s Code of Ethics for the Health Education Profession.

    • Three (3) years of experience with program development within the past seven (7) years.

    • One (1) year of experience working in DoD preferred.

    • Maintain current Certificate of Health Education Specialist (CHES)

    • Must be able to work independently, organize time and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    • Six (6) months experience in interpreting policy and program development.

    • Six (6) months experience with social media and fitness/health software applications.

    EDUCATION: Master’s degree in health education from an accredited institution

    LOCATION: Defense Health Headquarters, Falls Church, VA with potential for telework

    This position requires on-site work for all or a portion of the work to be performed. The successful candidate will reside in the local area or relocate within 15 days of the start date. No relocation is authorized.
