    Candidate should be located anywhere in the following states. TX We are looking for an aggressive and organized sales executive to sell our Knowledge Matters- VB College business simulation software subscription services to college and universities in the West Region. This software is designed for marketing and business professors. This is a remote / work from home office position. Preference will be given to those who have previously worked remotely and / or sold to colleges and universities. Textbooks sales representatives are also encouraged to apply. Knowledge Matters has recently added several new college-level programs to our assortment. We are looking for an organized sales executive who can prospect and penetrate the vast number of 2 and 4 year colleges in the Western Region. This region will include all states west of the Missouri River (AK, HI, WA, OR, CA, NV, ID, AZ, NM, CO, UT, AR, MO,MN, IA, WY, MT, ND, SD, NE, KS, OK, TX). This will be a hunter position which will require extensive call and email activity, web demonstrations, lead follow up to close, CRM management and updating to actively reflect activities. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the higher education space (not required) and will be a self-starter and well organized. The role will require presenting our products to professors and department heads via online and in-person presentations. Some travel is required but is less than 15%. The West Region Sales Executive will focus on current customers and sales in an effort to consult and promote use of the new VB College Simulations. The successful candidate will also be responsible for building a new client base through aggressive prospecting and referrals. The West Region Sales Executive will also assist in maintaining customer data and post-sales support including general administration support to the Director of Sales and work to maximize the productivity of the sales process.

    The successful candidate must be focused, highly organized, and have the ability to manage many opportunities and deals at the same time. There are several thousand college and universities who will be adopting the programs in the next two years. It will be a high volume sales pipeline with a relatively short sales process. Knowledge Matters is looking to maximize the growth cycle and minimize ramp-up in any way possible. The ideal candidate will have good phone rapport, good writing skills and the drive to succeed. This will be a high-volume position with a great opportunity to over-achieve goals. JOB DETAILS: · Base salary plus quarterly commission · 401K · Health plan · Vacation RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop Fundamental working knowledge of company products and services, as well as common questions received about the Case Simulations and usability of the programs. Immediate follow up on all leads provided Outbound prospecting to the target list while doing outreach to additional targets that are uncovered. Must have strong time management and must be a self-starter while working in an unsupervised environment Collaborate on sales strategies and coordinate quotes and sales opportunities with Sales teams in effort to drive new business opportunities. Process pre-sales tasks and post-sales requests including periodic post-sales outreach. Work with Director of Sales to close business. Develop business relationships with internal and external associates. Keep Salesforce.com CRM updated with notes, opportunities in the pipeline and be able to report to management during meetings. Ability to stay focused on assigned tasks and be organized and follow the established process but be open to identifying process improvements

    QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: 5 yrs. experience in Outside Sales (education SaaS sales preferred) Proficiency with Microsoft Office Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM required Excellent organizational skills Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task Good written & verbal communication Good problem solving skills Customer engagement experience Web Demo / Presentation experience required Experience working in a fast-paced work environment Experience in technology sales is desired but not required Experience with textbook sales a plus but not required Ability to work independently Must enjoy communicating with customers while finding new revenue opportunities Must be comfortable driving the sale and asking for the order
