    We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Project Executive to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of a utility plant and utility distribution project for a large campus infrastructure project in Southeast Minnesota. You will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of vital projects, which is essential for the continued growth and development of our campus.

    The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Project Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction for the utility plant and utility distribution project, ensuring it aligns with the campus's long-term infrastructure goals.
    • Project Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a comprehensive project plan, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
    • Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing project team, including project managers, engineers, contractors, and support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
    • Contract Management: Oversee the procurement and management of contracts, including bidding processes, contractor selection, and contract negotiation.
    • Budget Oversight: Manage the project budget, monitor expenses, and implement cost control measures to ensure the project stays within budget constraints.
    • Quality Control: Implement quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure that construction work adheres to industry standards and meets project specifications.
    • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and delays.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all construction activities comply with relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and building codes.
    • Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and milestones.
    • Timeline Adherence: Monitor project schedules and take proactive measures to keep the project on track, making adjustments as necessary.
    • Problem-Solving: Address project-related issues and challenges promptly, finding effective solutions to maintain project momentum.
    • Client Relations: Foster positive relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle

    Required Skills and Abilities:

    • Knowledge of and proficient in the use of personal computers and related software.
    • Basic knowledge of the construction process (reading drawings, understanding specifications and field labor, etc.) and project management principles (scheduling and estimating)
    • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relationships including the ability to initiate a productive verbal conversation with others.
    • Proficient in handling difficult issues and difficult personalities with tact and diplomacy
    • Strong skills in time management, ability to work under pressure and tight timelines, working with multiple demands while giving attention to detail and following issues through resolution.
    • Ability to travel to and within project sites.

    Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field or High School Diploma (or equivalent) or Associates Degree in a construction related field and a minimum of 5 years construction related experience.
