    Job Summary:

    The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. You will play a pivotal role in the acquisition of top talent for our organization. You will work closely with hiring managers and department heads to understand their staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies to fulfill those needs.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
    • Assist in organizing and attending recruitment events, career fairs, and campus interviews.
    • Assists with recruitment and interview process by posting job ads and utilizing ATS.
    • Attract, screen, interview, and onboard qualified candidates who align with the company's values, culture, and objectives.
    • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop comprehensive recruitment plans.
    • Source candidates through various channels, including online job boards, social media platforms, networking events, and employee referrals.
    • Review resumes and applications to identify potential candidates who meet the job requirements.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate information and recruitment activities using our ATS.
    • Conduct preliminary screenings to assess candidate qualifications, answer basic questions, and provide information about the company and the position.
    • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and other stakeholders.
    • Stay informed about current trends and best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition.
    • Participate in employer branding initiatives to enhance the company's reputation as an employer of choice.
    • Create and develop recruitment flyers and advertisements.
    • Prepares new-employee files.
    • Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks
    • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
    • Assists with new hire onboarding process.
    • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
    • Assists with processing of terminations.
    • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the director of HR.
    • Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
    • Files documents into appropriate employee files.
    • Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
    • Proven experience as a recruiter or in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment.
    • Strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practices.
    • Ability to build rapport and establish relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
    • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems and other recruitment software.
    • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

    • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat and related software.
    • Availability to work flexible hours and travel occasionally, particularly for recruitment events and meetings.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • None.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience preferred.
    • At least two years related experience required.
    • SHRM-CP credential preferred.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using cell phone device/apps, and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
    • Must have ability to drive personal vehicle, or occasionally fly to neighboring islands, to attend meetings and recruitment events.

    Job Type: Full-time, Monday - Friday, occasional nights and weekend shifts to attend hiring events

    Pay: Starting at $22.00/hour, depending on experience
