    The Division of Computer Science, Mathematics and Science is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor of Computer Science, commencing September 1, 2020.

    The Division of Computer Science, Mathematics and Science offers undergraduate degrees in Computer Science, Cyber Security Systems, Information Technology, Networking Systems, and Healthcare Informatics, as well as master’s degrees in Computer Science and Data Science.     RESPONSIBILITIES

    This is a teaching-intensive position (9-12 credit hours per semester) with opportunities for research reductions. We place primary emphasis on the candidate’s commitment to teaching and student engagement, together with ongoing research productivity. Division faculty members are expected to participate in academic advisement, student mentoring, academic assessment, and other activities as required by the Chair and/or Dean.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science and must possess university teaching experience and as a record of research and scholarly publications. We are particularly interested in candidates with specializations in Software Engineering, Computer Graphics and Game Development, Cloud Computing, or Parallel/Distributed Systems, and/or Cybersecurity. However, strong candidates will be seriously considered regardless of area of specialization. Computing related industry experience will also be considered, especially for candidates in the areas of Software Engineering or Game development.
