PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To ship, receive, and store goods. To support the housekeeping objectives of the company.
JOB/TASK FUNCTIONS:
The following job/task functions have been identified as the core functions of this position. However, the supervisor or manager may assign additional duties associated with this position.
Coordinates all incoming and outgoing shipping functions; records and monitors shipment activity to ensure on time deliveries.
Use fork-lift and crane to load and unload trucks.
Often asked to make deliveries.
Prepare boxes and skids for shipment.
Check-in items received. Access job numbers when needed.
Maintain Receiving Report Log daily.
Create non-production shippers.
Arrange for UPS & FedEx shipments.
Arrange returns when necessary.
Enter shipper information into QAD and scan into On-Base.
Process QAD Shipments and customer orders.
Keeps shipping area clean and organized.
Performs all duties and operates machinery and equipment in accordance with MIOSHA standards and company procedures.
Punctual and regular attendance is required.
Demonstrate patience when dealing with multiple trucks
Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling breaks and lunch.
Able and willing to work any shift assigned.

Must have valid driver license
Must be able to safely operate forklift
Must be able to safely operate overhead cranes

Required Experience
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
