    Specifically, at our Avon, Ohio location, we are a full service supplier of metal stampings and welded assemblies for the automotive industry.  Our stamping capabilities range from 300-2000 tons with both progressive and transfer presses.  We have 8 pedestal welders, 14 dedicated weld cells, repacking, and hand assembly operations.  Come join our team and be a part of something big!


     

    POSITION SUMMARY Provide the necessary departmental support to achieve optimal levels of safety, quality, productivity and delivery to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction as well as to comply with internal and external environmental, health and safety requirements.


    SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Support the Company''s mission, vision, values and goals in performance of daily activities.
    • Responsible for coordinating the daily operation of MRO and the Tool Cribs.
    • Maintain accurate inventory levels and report as required.
    • Maintain minimum and maximum levels using MLS system database.
    • Responsible for ordering and tracking stock items by processing appropriate documents for authorization, signatures and faxing or e-mailing to suppliers.
    • Receive incoming stock items and address any receipt discrepancies, submit accurate receivers to Finance for payment.
    • Assist Area MRO Buyer in tracking purchasing savings.
    • Maintain Bill of Materials in MLS.
    • Support accounting in any invoice/payment resolution
    • Direct and coordinate annual inventory with Area MRO Buyer
    • Support plant activities towards achieving customer awards and quality registrations 
    • Assist with plant activities to achieve quality, productivity, and cost reduction goals.
    • Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures in performing all daily work activities.
    • Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.
    • Maintain high standard of housekeeping in the work area.
    • Adherence to all company policies and procedures

    RELATIONSHIPS/CONTACTS Reports to the Materials Manager. Interfaces on a frequent basis with hourly colleagues, Operations, Materials and Finance. Interfaces on an as needed basis with Human Resources, Quality, Engineering and IT.


    LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provides direct leadership and supervises tool crib attendants.
    • Ability to identify, select, train and coach materials talent.
    • Provides model behavior to demonstrate corporate values.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Experience in a manufacturing plant is desirable.
    • Knowledge of purchasing procedures.
    • Strong knowledge of TS 16949 and ISO 14001 regulations.
    • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
    • Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast paced environment.
    • Experience in applying lean manufacturing concepts/process improvement.
    • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
    • Ability to read and write in English and perform mathematical computations.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS Duties include but are not limited to: stand, walk, twist, bend, lift, see, talk and hear. May be required to travel. Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration and hazardous materials.     • Must have an outbound/customer-facing demeanor and the confidence to interact with Executive level customer contacts.
