    PURPOSE OF POSITION

    The Senior Manager, Brand Manager and is responsible for leading and managing key marketing and innovation initiatives that drive growth for the portfolio while delivering attractive financials. This individual will deploy insightful, innovative customer and consumer marketing programs across the fruits and vegetables categories with a strong focus on Digital Marketing. The role is also responsible in supporting the development of a compelling innovation pipeline through close collaboration with a multi-functional Fresh Del Monte Team. 

    ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • BRAND MANAGEMENT / ACTIVATION - Branding needs to be reflected via communication, packaging; labels; story telling; merchandising.  For select innovations, develop consumer communication activation strategies while considering the key channels for our target audience.  Measure performance across the portfolio of programs to identify the most effective business drivers, and maximize ROI. Contribute to the development of annual business plans.
    • CONSUMER UNDERSTANDING, CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT AND TARGETING – Lead specific Research and Insights’ initiatives in collaboration with Insights & Analytics team to uncover actionable and important consumer and customer insights that can be leveraged and translated for ideation and for story-telling to the consumers and customers.
    • CUSTOMER MARKETING – Develop not only an exciting consumer proposition, but also understand how to help  sales teams to position each opportunity to their customers. 
    • INNOVATION & NEW PRODUCTS DEVELOPMENT - Develop, lead and commercialize key new product innovations for the organization. Develop business case leveraging consumer and customer insights and identify a competitive advantage and key points of differentiation
    •  FINANCIAL DELIVERY – Closely monitor the overall contribution of each innovation to the overall portfolio of products. Ensure that we drive much higher profitability versus existing categories. Work closely with finance, operations and sales to help and set strategic plans for long-term and annual goals.
    • LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT – Work with the Senior Marketing Director to continue to build a highly-effective, world-class Marketing and Innovation Organization by motivating and developing direct report(s), cross-functional teams and peers around the world. Enhance or establish marketing processes and measurements to operate efficiently and effectively.

     MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
    • 7+ year's proven relevant professional experience.
    • BRAND MANAGEMENT: Will consider individuals with CPG Foods (e.g. baby food, healthy product portfolio); Produce; Fresh Products (e.g. dairy, poultry); and or nutrition; QSR / Food Service experience is also a plus. Initially having started a career with Brand Marketing and Innovation with blue-chip companies.  Following, start-up experience would be valuable to demonstrate faster-moving, entrepreneurial mindset.  Experience in developing a significant innovation / brand with measurable results would be valuable.
    • INNOVATION/NPD: Proven experience developing new brands/products from an “end to end” perspective (e.g. concept to market launch and activation). Understands the importance of using a robust innovation development process, using consumer research, insights, and financial markers to make critical decisions along the development path.
    • PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT:  Understanding of portfolios
    • COMPLETE MARKETING TOOLKIT – Experience across the traditional marketing mix, with demonstrated results in Positioning, Brand Management, New Products/Innovation, PR, Advertising and Media, Trade/Customer Marketing, Local Promotion and Events, etc. Digital Marketing experience is a must (e.g. Display, re-targeting, SEO/SEM, Social, Mobile).
    • SALES CAPABILITIES / CUSTOMER MARKETING – Experience collaborating closely with Sales to support new item introductions and contribute to business meetings with retail customers.

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications

     TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: 

    1. High school diploma (at minimum) is required. Preference of two years of previous Medicare Enrollment experience with an outside organization; OR demonstrated knowledge of the Market Prominence and other CMS systems.
    2. Demonstrated knowledge of Medicare Enrollment Election processing based on applicable Federal/State regulatory guidelines preferred.
    3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    4. Attention to detail, ability to attain and retain a range of information regarding regulations, policy, procedures and benefits. Ability to apply this information as it applies to enrollment processing.
    5. Proficient in Windows environment - Microsoft Word, Excel and Access is a plus.
    6. Accurate keying skills - 45 wpm with no errors.
