PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Customer Solutions Manager – Will manage and grow commodity sales at assigned customers, process orders, ensuring the highest service level and reconcile customer credit memos and claims

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Deliver commodity sales goals including FY budget

• Process purchase orders daily in JD Edwards, SAP (beginning August 2021)

• Manage customer inventory (VMI) at assigned customers

• Ensure customer satisfaction with highest case fill from ‘original order quantity’ and on-time delivery (OTIF)

• Review all credit memos requiring approval before submission to Account Receivables, reconcile all claims over 6o days

• Develop annual goals and conduct annual reviews with assigned customers

• Ensure that customers have off hour accessibility to sales/service representative to solve problems or address needs

• Acquire new customers and sell them our product portfolio

• Develop and maintain effective phone systems, account assignments, and backup so that customer interface is seamless at all times

• Lead, develop, and scorecard activities necessary to position Mann as “the” Customer Solutions Gold Standard for companies in the produce industry. This includes leading cross- functional teams and working with production and shipping to achieve internal KPIs and external customer satisfaction

• Provide backup to handle accounts when others are shorthanded or on PTO

• Coordinate with Field Sales team on any activities that relate directly to customer service

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree: BS/BA minimum

• 5+ years of experience in the fresh produce industry in a senior sales role or management position

Required Skills Required Experience

Ability to read and interpret work instructions.  Read safety rules, instructions in the use and maintenance of shop  tools and equipment and methods and procedures in mechanical drawing and layout work.

Thorough knowledge of large commercial bindery equipment such as saddle stitchers, folders, cutters and perfect-binders. 

Ability to communicate effectively in writing using proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar, using all parts of speech.

Ability to read and make mathematical computations as relates to bindery operations.

Ability to provide strong leadership, work in a team environment, have excellent problem-solving ability, be reliable and have strong attention to detail.

Ability to work all shifts and overtime as required based upon production demands.
