PURPOSE OF POSITION:

This position will oversee production lines and staff to ensure timely and efficient work flow, while meeting finished product specifications. In this role, will also partner with Quality Assurance to ensure quality standards are met, and will track labor and raw product yields.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Review daily and weekly production plans with Production Manager to ensure maximum utilization of resources, while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
• Oversee production personnel to ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
• Determine packaging and raw product production requirements at a minimum of two days.
• Ensure production processing lines are prepared and fully operational at all times.
• Track labor and raw product yields daily.
• Verify accuracy and quality of samples.
• Partner with the Quality Assurance and Sanitation Departments to ensure all areas are in compliance with production and safety processes.
• Observe and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), to sustain a safe work environment.
• Complete and send daily Production Reports
• Ensure Finished Product Banked Product counts are accurate and report on a daily basis.

MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED:

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• 2 to 3 years of Supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• Knowledge of Food safety, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and GMP.
• Excellent communication skills (i.e. written and oral).
• Production processing experience.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time in a wet/cold environment.
• Multi-task oriented and organized.
• Must be able to work on weekends and overtime when needed.

PREFERRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:

• Bilingual: English and Spanish.
