Kolko & Casey, P.C. is seeking an experienced immigration paralegal to work on family-based, humanitarian immigration and removal defense cases.

Candidates must have exceptional client service, analytical, organizational and case management skills. Patience, an eagerness to learn and a sense of humor are also a plus. Immigration experience with family-based immigration cases or removal proceedings required.

Job Duties include:

·   Under supervision of lead attorney and senior staff oversee and manage immigration cases in family, humanitarian & removal cases 

·   Manage client communication; attend client meetings 

·   Complete draft immigration forms and pleadings

·   Review and analyze documents & information submitted by Clients;

·   Prepare and finalize immigration petitions and applications, including but not limited to I-130, I-485, I-751, I-90, I-765, I-131, DACA, FOIA, N-600, N-400, EOIR-42A/B, I-589, I-601/A

·   Prepare transmittal letters 

·   Prepare simple support letters, job descriptions and client declarations 

·   Finalize cases for submission 

·   Draft client correspondence letters 

·   Review and monitor reminders and case docketing deadlines

·   Utilize Case Management system to complete case notes, set/review reminders, calendar cases, etc. Utilize Outlook for email correspondence

REQUIREMENTS:

EXPERIENCE:  1-2 years’ immigration experience (Required)

EDUCATION:    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional work experience (Required)

LANGUAGE:    Spanish or other foreign language fluency (Required)

SALARY RANGE:         $45k - $60k (depending on education/experience)
