    Summary: Kona Ice is the largest Shaved Ice company in the US and looking for Drivers to work our events from the KEV (Kona Entertainment Vehicle). Kona Ice is looking for friendly and responsible Full Time Assistant Manager to work alongside our mobile food truck/shaved-ice business!

    All events are located Fulshear, Sealy, Bellville, Waller, Brenham, Richmond and Wharton Texas areas only. Our shaved-ice season is steady from March 1 through October 31 but we still serve lots of yummy Kona Kocoa in November and December too!

    Job includes will consist of all aspects of running the Kona Ice Business and is not limited to also hiring staff, managing schedules, stocking and inventory, maintaining the Kona Vehicle Fleet and additionally driving to and from events setting up and delivering excellent service from the truck to the customers serving them Shaved Ice Treats. Hours are daily during business and serving hours with weekends being a priority vs. weekdays.

    Some Spanish is beneficial and previous management and customer service is a plus. We offer benefits and great fun while earning a very competitive wage. Training will be provided but knowledge of providing customer service and handling transactions is required.

    Prior experience working in food service, ministry, childcare, customer service or education are to your advantage. Some background checks are required.     Duties and Responsibilities:

    Understand the basic requirements of the business model and daily operations

    Work with employees - hiring and retention is very important while keeping a happy competent team.

    Maintain the equipment including warehouse and inventory

    Help coordinate scheduling and event set ups and promotion.

    Knowledge of operations that include:

    Transport KEV from Warehouse to Event for on time set up containing all inventory necessary for the event

    Set Up - Prep Flavors, Truck Set Up, Ice Prep, Inventory Count, Cash Count, Load Ice,

    Serving: Greet Customers, Take Orders, Finish Orders, Collect Cash or Credit Cards, Make Sure Customer Transaction is Complete

    Maintain: Continuously Keep KEV Clean, Back Up Crew, Keep Stock Ready to Serve

    Close Up: Drive KEV to next event or Warehouse and run Inventory Recap, Cash Recap and Reconciliation, Paperwork, Log Event Closing, Request Re-Stock, Unload Ice at Warehouse

    Truck and Warehouse: Wash and Clean Truck, Clean Warehouse, Inventory Warehouse.

    Supervisory Responsibility:

    Will directly supervise team for Servers and Truck Maintenance crew.

    Position Type / Expected Hours to Work:

    This is a full time salary position with expectation of 40 hours per week of work. Many weekend and evening events in summer based on type of event held. Some events have shifts lasting up to 10 hours with meals provided. Many weekend and holiday hours.

    Education / Experience:

    Clean driving record, High School completion (may be forthcoming for graduating seniors) with minimum of at least one reference of past job providing management experience and customer service.
