    Job Description

    JOB LOCATION Headquarter: Orange, CA. Job location: Remote-friendly.

    OBJECTIVE Actively participate in the acquisition and liquidation of performing/non-performing assets and effectively manage and communicate each step of the loan sale and loan diligence process to Senior Management.

    SUMMARY The analyst will provide integral support role for the acquisition/trading functions and the diligence functions of the Capital Markets department. This position will provide significant interaction with management and trading professionals on topics of trading analysis, valuation, reporting, investor relations, and diligence oversight related to performing/non-performing assets. A very high attention to detail, strong work ethic, and solid technical aptitude are required. The Capital Markets Associate must demonstrate the ability to think critically and efficiently in order to meet deadlines.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Lead the disbursement of due diligence assignments to third party vendors prior to acquisition • Order and Track all diligence items through approved vendors and prepare an organized and useful summary • Develop a thorough understanding of Asset Management, Collateral Analysis and its functions, processes and operations • Support operational and strategic decision making through the collection, analysis, interpretation and communication of trend specific information to key decision-makers • Highlight issues in diligence findings immediately to focus the time spent on assets where there is a potential material economic impact. • Implement and maintain automated and integrated methodologies for data collection, retrieval presentation, analysis and interpretation. • Stay up to date on current market trends, current business events and policies and procedures that relate to the secondary market. • Perform other related assignments / projects as requested by management • Oversee the post closing servicing reconciliation • Ensure that all reported data and information are accurate, consistent, relevant and timely

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work as part of a team • Proactive thinking with detail-oriented and creative problem solving approach • Must be a VERY organized, detail-oriented and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. • Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills are essential • Microsoft Access, SQL, and VBA experience preferred but not required

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • Strong academic background. Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field is preferred. • Experienced reviewer of standard loan due diligence items – Title Reports, BPOs, Servicing comments review and payment histories • Residential Real Estate or Mortgage experience is preferred
