Business Development

Bloomington, MN | Direct Hire | $120k salary plus bonus

Konik is partnering with a local manufacturing company that is seeking to add a Business Development professional to their team. This is a great opportunity for an early to mid-career business development professional. A background in commercial and industrial electrical construction some capacity is required.  This role is pivotal in project planning and facilitation, ensuring a smooth transition from sale to project kickoff. The ideal candidate brings strong interpersonal skills, deep knowledge of the electrical construction industry, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.

What you would be doing:

• Review project proposals to define scope and responsibilities.
• Secure projects, emphasizing quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Execute estimating plans for labor, materials, and administrative costs.
• Interface with Designers, Project Managers, and others to resolve project issues.
• Prepare and maintain project-related documentation.
• Facilitate project planning and follow-up meetings.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors.
• Participate in bid reviews with the Estimating team.
• Attend customer/client meetings and events.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Business Development, and Estimating teams for project proposals.
• Maintain and develop customer relationships in commercial and industrial markets.

What you bring:

• Associates degree in electrical construction or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in the electrical construction industry.
• 3+ years of experience in Sales and/or Project Management.
• Knowledge of business principles, strategic planning, sales tactics, and resource allocation.
