Are you a Mechanical Engineer in the MEP space ready to take on an engineering manager role?

Konik is partnering with a global engineering firm positioned to add a mechanical department leader to oversee its local engineering group. You will be leading a fun group of mechanical engineers who design HVAC systems for various buildings, including hospitals and universities. This group is serious about their job, gets along, and likes to have fun. As the group leader, you will also have project management and technical responsibilities for key projects.

Mechanical Engineering Manager Responsibilities:

• Responsible for hiring, firing, and training your team
• Mentor your team and be available as a technical resource
• QA/QC for projects
• Provide department resources and budget plans to leadership, then manage them
• Help with proposal writing
• Attend client meetings as needed and determine their project requirements
• Be a resource for construction personnel
• Utilize engineering and CAD software to assist with projects

Mechanical Engineering Manager Requirements:

• BSME degree
• P.E. registration
• 15+ years related industry experience
• Previous experience as a mechanical group leader, engineering manager, or project manager
• Trane TRACE, Caesar II, and Pipe-Flo Professional/Trane Pipe designer.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship and the Covid-19 vaccine is required. This client works with Federal contractors and must comply with their employment requirements.
