    Building Automation Manager

    Blaine, MN | Direct Hire | $120k - $130k

     

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Building Automation Manager to lead our engineering team in designing, implementing, and maintaining building automation systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, particularly in the field of building automation, and possess exceptional leadership and project management skills. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have estimating experience or a proven track record of leading the development of proposals from plan-bid-specification scenarios, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of project lifecycle management.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage a team of building automation engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to ensure the successful execution of projects.
    • Oversee all aspects of building automation projects from conception to completion, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative building automation solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert in building automation engineering, staying abreast of emerging technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
    • Ensure the quality and reliability of building automation systems through thorough testing, validation, and compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Foster strong client relationships by understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and delivering solutions that exceed expectations.
    • Provide training and professional development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities in building automation engineering.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in building automation engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
    • Strong technical proficiency in building automation systems
    • Experience in estimating or leading the development of proposals from plan-bid-specification scenarios, showcasing proficiency in project lifecycle management.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects from conception to completion.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience with building automation software and tools such at Niagara and Tridium
