Prepress Operator

St. Paul, MN | Contract to Hire | $22 - $24/hour

We seek a wide-format digital Prepress Operator to process Macintosh files to film for screen printing and digital production prep. Duties may include file output, page assembly, trapping, and imposition.

Prepress Operator Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot problems on the Mac
• Process Macintosh files with Esko-graphics FlexRIP or another RIP program
• Color break and/or Trap Mac Files
• Color correction and management

Prepress Operator Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of digital pre-press experience
• Large format printing experience is a plus
• Experience in finishing (Zund cutting, router, saw cut, guillotine)
• High-level experience with the Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat) is mandatory
• Technical/analytical approach to file prep. (This is not a designer position)
• Understanding of color management via ICC Profiles
