    Process Engineer

    Faribault, MN | Direct-hire | $65,000 - $120,000 | On-site 100%

    Konik partnered with a food production facility hiring a process engineer. The process engineer will be responsible for leading and implementing both capital and non-capital initiatives to enhance manufacturing performance, drive capacity, and support new and existing products. The role involves working collaboratively with cross-functional internal teams, customers, suppliers, and consultants to achieve these objectives.

    Process Engineer Responsibilities include:

    • Develop and create plans for equipment layout design.
    • Assess processes and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency in production.
    • Keep records of processes through process flow diagrams (PFDs) and process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
    • Create and review Heat and Mass Balances, Utility Consumption, Equipment and Installation Specifications.
    • Conduct research for the development of new and improved manufacturing processes.
    • Address issues and troubleshoot problems related to manufacturing processes

    Process Engineer Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Engineering, or a related field, with relevant experience.
    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
    • Manufacturing experience in a food production facility or other FDA/USDA facility.
    • Experience or willingness to learn all aspects of project management, including quotes, budgeting, cost tracking, scheduling, contractor management, installation, and start-up.

    Experienced candidates will have:

    • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with all internal functions, customers, and suppliers.
    • Strong execution skills and ability to provide leadership and vision in developing and sustaining strategic goals for operations and engineering.
    • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and collaboration skills required.
    • Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes to eliminate downtime and ensure product quality.
    • Experience in designing and implementing testing protocols.
