Prepress Technician

St. Paul, MN | Contract to Hire | $22 - $24/hour

We are seeking a wide-format digital Prepress Operator to process Macintosh files to film for both screen printing and prep for digital production. Duties may include file output, page assembly, trapping, and imposition.

Prepress Operator Essential Functions:

• Troubleshoot problems on the Mac
• Process Macintosh files with Esko-graphics FlexRIP or another RIP program
• Color break and/or Trap Mac Files
• Color Correction
• Color Management

Prepress Operator Job Requirements:

• Associates or Tech degree or equivalent experience (4+ years)
• Large format printing experience is a plus
• Experience in finishing (Zund cutting, router, saw cut, guillotine)
• High-level experience with the Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat) is mandatory
• Technical/analytical approach to file prep. (This is not a designer position)
• Understanding of color management via ICC Profiles
