Mechanical Engineer, E.I.T.

Minneapolis, MN | Direct-hire | $60,000 - $75,000

Seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer EIT (Engineer-in-Training) with experience designing mechanical HVAC and Plumbing systems. This person should be able to take tasks and begin to work on them independently under the direction of others. This engineer will design HVAC and Plumbing systems for a wide variety of project types

Responsibilities can include:

• Assist with equipment selections, room sizing, and space requirements then incorporate them into Design Development.
• Research equipment selections and complete equipment schedules under the direction of the project team.
• Produce Construction Documents.
• Lay out portions of mechanical systems for the project.
• Assist in the production of calculations such as building HVAC loads, energy calculations, and equipment sizing.
• Provide drafting and documentation for projects, including implementing sketches and design concepts from others.
• Assist in the drafting of specialized diagrams such as plumbing isometrics.
• Review drawings and documents to ensure compliance with project requirements and coordinate drawings with other disciplines
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science from an accredited technical university in Mechanical Engineering and successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam
• 1-4 years of experience with HVAC building system design
• Proficient using Revit.
