    Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid) | Contract


    Konik is partnering with a local manufacturer that is seeking a senior-level Safety Consultant for an initial three-month project. In this role, you will assist in enhancing and implementing robust safety practices across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong safety management background with experience creating and implementing safety programs, conducting audits, and providing training.

    Safety Consultant Responsibilities:

    • Review and Improve Safety Practices: Evaluate current safety practices, identify gaps, and propose effective solutions. Collaborate with the team to develop updated safety training materials and plans tailored to specific job requirements.
    • Enhance Safety Training: Review existing safety training programs and processes, recommending improvements and additional audits where necessary to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
    • Safety Toolkit: Lead the development of a comprehensive toolkit for Safety Celebration week. This includes creating content, agendas, expectations, and innovative ideas to promote a safety-conscious culture within the organization.
    • Assist in Safety Committee Member Training: Support the revision and communication of safety committee member training materials for all U.S. sites. This involves contributing to the development of a detailed manual covering OSHA requirements, audit procedures, and other relevant topics.
    • Safety Operations Review: Collaborate with the team to review safety operations, prioritize action items, and develop clear plans for implementation. Assist in identifying resources needed for each initiative and provide guidance on execution.

    Safety Consultant Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
    • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
    • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage and motivate team members at all levels of the organization.
    • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful safety programs.
