Overview :

Koppel & Gruber Public Finance, a well-respected local government finance consulting firm, is looking for an Analyst to join their team. As a Public Finance Analyst, you will be working with clients and other employees on building long term relationships by primarily providing ongoing administration of taxes and assessments. You will be exposed to clients across the state of California and gain experience creating and implementing revenue enhancing products to fund essential local infrastructure and services.

Responsibilities :

Perform research and data collection, develop and maintain databases and reporting tools using SQL, Excel and other applications. Develop and execute detailed analyses for use by senior staff and client agencies, review, analyze and develop budgets for annual fixed special assessment levies and update client documents with relevant information. Prepare informational reports and technical studies for client agencies.

Requirements :

• Expertise in SQL, Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (Python experience and GIS a plus)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to organize and manage work in a fast-paced environment
• B.A./B.S. from an accredited University; Successful candidates will have a degree in an analytical or finance-related field (ex: Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics, Public Policy, etc.), Other degrees will be considered based on experience
• Previous experience in analytical role preferred

This full time in office position is located in San Marcos, CA.
