JOB DESCRIPTION: Korean American Family Services (KFAM) is a non-profit organization specializing in family violence, mental health, and social services for Korean and API immigrant families. KFAM is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and hardworking individual for its Finance Coordinator. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Individual will perform entry-level accounting-related duties. Individual will report to Finance Manager.
DUTIES:
Billing Duties
• Submit timely weekly billing to government entities, insurance companies, and other partner organizations using electronic billing software systems (ex: EXYM, insurance carrier portals, Simple Practice, etc.). • Knowledge of use and application of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) Codes. • Investigate and appeal claims that were denied • Manage, track and resolve denied and voided claims, following through until claim is paid. • Collect data identifying unfiled, pending, denied, and submitted claims. • Create invoices for grant programs (state and federal) • Keep an accurate record of accounts and outstanding balances • Provide regular, accurate reports of billing data
Bookkeeping Duties • Bank and credit card reconciliations • Input and file invoices • Review and generate reports and organize data • Assist with annual financial statement audit • Assist in preparing various agency correspondences to grantors, auditors, banks and vendors • Organize and file documents in a timely manner • Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or GED, required • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Quickbooks required • Medical billing experience, preferred • Excellent data management skills. • Ability to work well in a team environment • Problem-solving skills to research and resolve discrepancies, denials, appeals, collection
