    KOTA is looking for the most highly skilled solar electrical apprentice available. We are dedicated to the quality of our systems and for each customer amazing experience from start to finish. This candidate must be willing to assist in all installation needs along with general electrical duties. This role may require overtime on a regular basis. 

    Responsibilities and Duties: 

    • Insuring the highest Quality installation and service of all solar components 

    • Working with team members to install roof top and ground level solar electrical equipment 

    • Getting into attics to install electrical conduit and other equipment 

    • Keeping the install pace smooth and efficient via proper time management 

    • Prepping vehicles and keeping them clean and organized for each days use 

    • Following company and state mandated employment guidelines and laws 

    • Following job site safety requirements and PPE protocol at all times  

    • Climbing ladders, working at height, and lifting 50+ lbs

    • Proper tracking of tools and materials ensuring costs stay low 

    • Performing other job tasks as assigned by leadership or when a need is recognized 

    • Travel may be required depending on company needs

     

    Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

    • Understanding of the solar installation process regarding electrical components 

    • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights while managing heavy gear a must 

    • Skills using hand and power tools for install and construction based needs required 

    • Knowledge of solar materials and install processes  

    • Skill installing battery backup and generator systems a large plus  

    • An extremely discerning eye with an above average attention to detail

    • High school diploma or equivalent

    • 1-3 years minimum experience in the photovoltaic industry in a relevant role

    • Familiarity with OSHA standards and having an OSHA 10 cert is a plus
