Boutique real estate law firm is seeking a Real Estate Litigation Associate to become a part of our team! The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of Housing Part (Landlord & Tenant) experience in both residential and commercial litigation, and will be able to litigate non-payment and holdover proceedings from start to finish. The position is litigation focused, but there is room to work on some high dollar commercial real-estate transactions. The candidate must be a self-starter. Experience in Supreme Court a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct all aspects of Housing Court litigation
• Conduct research to support legal proceedings
• Conduct all aspects of discovery
• Draft and review legal documents (strong familiarity with predicate notice requirements is a must)
• Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes
• Monitor and ensure compliance with State and City regulations
• Record and store client information

​QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2-4 years of experience in Housing Court/Commercial Litigation
• Strong understanding of Holdover and non-payment experience
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Transferrable business is a plus, but not required
• ADMITTED TO PRACTICE LAW IN THE STATE OF NEW YORK
