For over 40 years, KrekowJennings (KJ) has been fulfilling dreams by building works of art that our customers live in and around. We are well connected to the elite residential design and construction sector in the Seattle area and extending to the San Francisco Bay area.

As a General Contractor, we deliver value through transparency, accountability, fairness, and an eagerness to take on assignments that others cannot approach. This is made possible by our staff that lead with high expectations for craftsmanship, integrity, and creative problem solving.

KJ invites you to join our team as the Human Resources (HR) Manager. At KJ, we appreciate an entrepreneurial spirit, someone who is forward-thinking, self-directed and takes a sense of ownership in their work and that of the team and company.

Our staff of 100+ are in positions ranging from Laborers to Project Managers. We have a long history of engaged, productive employees, and we’re looking for an HR Manager who will continue that tradition as we evolve together.

This role is a true Generalist that will perform routine duties while partnering with the owners on more strategic initiatives as well as developing and refining systems. This role is responsible for multi-state recruiting (mostly WA & CA), on-boarding, compensation management, employee relations, administering health and retirement benefits, leave administration, employment law, compliance, policy development and performance management.

Qualified should have a minimum of 5 years Generalist or HR Business Partner experience.  Prior experience as an HR Manager is helpful but please note that this is not a Director level role overseeing an HR staff.  Having a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred as well as an HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP).

Our ideal candidate has a current and thorough knowledge of current Federal and State employment-related laws and regulations. They are a good listener and great communicator who connects with people at all levels.  They should be organized, have a detail-oriented mindset, and be nimble while prioritizing and juggling multiple tasks. They should be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook and have a good aptitude to learn new technology.

At KrekowJennings, we offer competitive compensation, excellent health benefits, paid time off, 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with company match, parking, and a great working environment. When applying, please let us know why this position would be a great mutual fit. Our portfolio can be found at www.KrekowJennings.com.
