    Job description

    Krutilla & Associates is a fast-growing CPA firm based in Walnut Creek specializing in tax consulting and compliance services. We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-starter, and eager-to-learn individual to support our growing team of tax professionals. The right individual will work with our office administrators to perform pre and post-tax preparation processing.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    In charge of the inflowing and outflowing of tax documents from clients by collecting, reviewing, organizing, referencing, and updating tax documents from clients

    Assign and maintain project scheduling

    Emailing and calling clients to request pending tax documents

    Coordinate with our office administrators to collate and assemble tax files for clients

    Prepare and collate engagement letter and organizer to send to clients at year-end

    Prepare, mail, fax, and email tax documents to clients and various taxing authorities

    Maintain and update an internal database with client details

    Upload and download tax documents to and from the client portal

    Assist with submitting tax returns

    Copying and scanning tax documents

    Assist with tracking invoices

    Provide administrative support where necessary to ensure a positive experience for clients

    Special projects as assigned

    Qualifications:

    Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent; AA degree preferred.

    Detail-oriented and professional; Self-driven and ability to work independently and be a team player

    Ability to make logical decisions based on firm protocol and procedure

    Must be able to handle confidential information

    Must have the ability to prioritize projects, multi-task, and follow through with projects

    Enjoy a face-pace work environment and stay cool in a deadline-driven industry

    Excellent email and phone communication skills

    Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

    Knowledge of various tax software is a plus but not necessary

    Prior work experience in an office environment is desired

    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
