    Job Description

    Kunai is looking for both a part-time and a full-time UX Designer to join our team. We're a growing digital agency of 50+ people that is fully remote. During the past decade, we've shipped over 150 products for clients that include Visa, the United Nations, Wells Fargo, Ernst & Young, and TOMS Shoes. Our founders built a previous agency (Monsoon) that was acquired by Capital One in 2015.

    You'll be a User Experience Designer on our Design Team. You will help our clients bring their products to life, serving as strategic partners early in the process all the way through delivery. You’ll work across the tech stack, various industries, tackle new skills, and show up ready for anything. Your role will be challenging, fun, and interesting. CX and Design are the two hottest products in financial services. Join Kunai and build the next generation of fintechs with transcendent customer experiences.

    YOU WILL:

    • Design and build products that make you and your team proud.
    • Guide the design process throughout the project.
    • Drive client presentations and discussions of your team’s work.
    • Push both clients and colleagues to reach the best possible solutions for their products, not just ones that are easiest to sell.
    • Work with client and Kunai team to scope project requirements.
    • Properly hand off design work and assets to development team.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 5+ years of product design experience at a digital agency
    • Mastery of UI/UX principles, best practices, and common design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Invision, Zeplin, etc.
    • A portfolio that showcases both UX and visual design skills.
    • Leadership and consensus-building skills
    • Ability to synthesize stakeholder goals, user research, and complex user flows into simple UIs.
    • Taking feedback well.
    • Cutting edge understanding of desktop/mobile best practices.
    • Excellent written and verbal skills.
    • Experience with ambiguous client briefs

    EXTRA CREDIT:

    • Working understanding of technology, with the ability to code simple functionality when necessary.
    • Experience with digital marketing.
    • Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
