Job Description :

School Salesperson needed to cover the Eastern PA / Eastern MD territory. Previous sales experience OR previous teaching experience preferred. Microsoft Office skills also preferred. Will be required to reside in the sales region.

Responsibilities include making on-site calls to school customers, distributing catalogs, and attending trade shows. We offer full company benefits, company vehicle, and a competitive salary. Little overnight travel will be expected.

We are looking for a friendly, motivated, self-starter salesperson to cover this territory. From early childhood through graduation, Kurtz Bros. has been providing supplies to facilitate the education of children since 1894.

Responsibilities and Duties :

• Develop business strategies to raise customer pool, expand traffic, and optimize profitability.
• Initiate and maintain business relationships with customers.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
• Sell to prospective customers by making on-site calls to school customers, distributing catalogs, and attending trade shows.
• Propose innovative ideas to increase market share.
• Provide on-the-ground support for sales.
• Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our company’s relationship with them.
• Develop and implement new sales initiatives.
• Maintain professionalism in the workplace.
• Perform any other assigned proprietary duties.

Qualifications and Skills :

• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within sales and management.
• Experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals to perform a variety of tasks.
• Proficiency in assessing, profiling and analyzing merchants' needs and proposing customized proposals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking and reasoning to provide customer support and satisfaction.
