    POSITION OVERVIEW

    We are actively seeking a Quality Control Technician to help in the quality and inspection of products at our manufacturing and distribution facility in Orange County, California. This position is responsible for ensuring adherence to quality control processes and standards within the operation

    JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Perform release or in-process testing of products or raw materials according to written documents
    • Oversee batch approval process and adjustments 
    • Complete batch records and Quality Control specifications with legibility and accuracy
    • Correctly store and perform periodic review of inventory for correct label, correct contents, expiration date, or excess inventory
    • Perform visual Quality Control on products and kits before release
    • Assist other departments in testing necessary for product improvement
    • Periodic checks of equipment, ensuring calibrations and/or preventive maintenance has been performed and it is within dating
    • Perform independent and/or team assessments of work performed on manufacturing and distribution floor to assure results obtained by peers are valid
    • Identify, recommend and implement process improvement opportunities/enhancements
    • When non-compliant items or discrepancies are identified, provide feedback, recommendations and analysis (as applicable) to the Quality Manager
    • Keep and ensure work areas are neat / uncluttered (5’s)
    • Enforce and reinforce expectations; Notify Manager of safety concerns and training needs
    • Reviews production and distribution related documents for completeness.
    • Ensures all finished product specifications are current and being communicated by the production and distribution team
    • Ability to work independently or as a team and with minimal supervision
    • Extensive product knowledge or the ability to obtain product knowledge.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Previous quality control, auditing, or manufacturing experience required
    • Function in a dynamic, fast-paced, goal-driven environment and meet deadlines
    • Move and lift packages up to 30 pounds
    • Professional communication skills with ability to seek clarification when needed
    • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Basic math skills (addition, Subtraction, multiplication)
    • Need full range of motion for reaching and bending
    • Capacity to work overtime and weekends when required.
    • Must demonstrate consistency, accuracy and follow-through.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Move, carry, and lift up to 30 pounds.
    • Regularly perform various repetitive motions such as carrying, grasping, lifting, walking, standing, bending/crouching, stooping, reaching, and stretching.
    • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.
    • Ability to move around uneven terrain.
    • Grasping, holding, lifting and other repetitive movements involving wrists and hands are required.
    • Work is performed in a fast-paced manufacturing production environment.
