We are seeking Kyrgyz Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract.

Responsibilities

Provide real-time Kyrgyz ↔ English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings.

Interpret accurately, neutrally, and professionally in immigration and legal contexts.

Maintain strict confidentiality in line with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.

Handle both scheduled and urgent/surge interpretation requests.

Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance reviews.

Qualifications

Native or near-native fluency in Kyrgyz and English.

2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, community, legal, or government preferred).

Strong knowledge of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness.

Excellent telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 federal clearance.
